Retirement Notice
After much thought and consideration, I have decided to retire from practicing general dentistry at the end of the 2023 summer. It has been a privilege to have treated so many patients during the 43 years I spent in private practice. Among those patients have been six dentists who have trusted me with their care. The Veihdeffer name has been involved in dentistry for 90 years and I am beyond proud to have added to that legacy. This legacy includes the treatment of patients with integrity, ethics, and a personality that allowed my practice to grow. These attributes are not commonly found in healthcare today. As I begin to cut back my hours, I will continue to work with you as my schedule will allow.

Our mission is to continue our family tradition of providing the highest quality of dental care to each of our patients. We are dedicated to serving our patients in a professional environment and treating each patient with compassion and respect all in a cost-effective way. Our staff works together as a team and is committed to continuing education. Our dedication to this mission has allowed the Veihdeffer name to serve the Erie community for over 70 years.
| The adult dentition consists of 32 teeth. This includes (four) third molars a.k.a. wisdom teeth. It is common to have the 3rd molars extracted leaving the adult compliment to be 28 teeth. All 3 of Dr Bill’s daughters had their wisdom teeth removed. When signing emails to his daughters when they were away at college, Dr. Bill concluded with “keep your 28 clean” to remind them to brush their teeth. =) |
