Dr. Veihdeffer was appointed to the Board of Directors of Delta Dental Insurance Company. Delta Dental is one of the largest dental insurance companies in the country.

Dr. Veihdeffer has continued his work with LECOM administering mock boards to fourth year dental students in both Erie and at LECOM’s Florida campus. LECOM students now have one of the highest licensure passing rates in the country.
Dr. Veihdeffer is now a CDCA Captain. In this new role he oversees the examiners during the live testing process for dental student licensure. He attended a Captain’s seminar in Florida this past January to maintain his credentials.
Dr. Veihdeffer has a busy upcoming examination schedule. He has been assigned as an examiner for state licensure at the following schools. December: University at Buffalo February: New York University University of Pittsburgh West Virginia University April: Midwestern University in Phoenix University of Chicago Fortis Institute (Hygiene)
Dr. Veihdeffer currently holds the position of Immediate Past Vice President of the Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Once again, Dr. Veihdeffer will provide dental screenings for decay at all schools in the City of Erie, including private schools. These screenings are provided to students in Pre-K, K, 3rd grade, and 7th grade.
Dr. Veihdeffer has accepted a part time position at LECOM as a preceptor for the dental outreach clinic. He spends one half day a week at the clinic. In January, LECOM will send Dr. Veihdeffer to their Florida clinic to test their students with mock boards.
Dr. Veihdeffer will continue his role as the team dentist for the Erie Otters through their 2015-2016 season. Go Otters!
Dr. Veihdeffer is scheduled as an examiner for state licensure exams at Midwestern University Dental School in Phoenix, Arizona. Students taking this exam are members of the first graduating class! He will also be an examiner at Boston University.
| The adult dentition consists of 32 teeth. This includes (four) third molars a.k.a. wisdom teeth. It is common to have the 3rd molars extracted leaving the adult compliment to be 28 teeth. All 3 of Dr Bill’s daughters had their wisdom teeth removed. When signing emails to his daughters when they were away at college, Dr. Bill concluded with “keep your 28 clean” to remind them to brush their teeth. =) |
